1. Introduction

This policy explains how Agile Release Limited ("Agile Release", "the Company", "we", "us", or "our"), a company registered in England and Wales under company number 13237670, collects, uses and protects your personal data. It applies to this website (agilerelease.co.uk) and to enquiries and engagements you have with us as a client, supplier or contact.

2. Data We Collect

We collect only the information we need to respond to you and to run our business:

  • Contact and enquiry data: Your name, company, email address, phone number and the content of any message you send us via email or a contact form.
  • Client and project data: Where we work with you, the business and technical information you share with us for the purpose of the engagement, and our contractual and billing records.
  • Technical data: Basic server logs (such as IP address and browser type) generated automatically when you visit this website, used for security and to keep the site running.
  • Website usage data (only if you accept analytics cookies): How you use this website, collected by Google Analytics — see section 6. We collect none of it if you reject analytics cookies or do not choose.

This is a business-to-business website. We do not knowingly collect special-category personal data, and we do not process consumers' financial account data through this site.

3. Legal Basis for Processing

Under Article 6 of the UK GDPR, the lawful bases we rely on are:

  • Legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f)) — to respond to your enquiries, run and secure this website, and manage our client relationships, where these interests are not overridden by your rights.
  • Performance of a contract (Art. 6(1)(b)) — where we are delivering services to you or your organisation.
  • Compliance with a legal obligation (Art. 6(1)(c)) — for retaining accounting and tax records as required by law.
  • Consent (Art. 6(1)(a)) — for analytics cookies on this website (Google Analytics, which we use only if you accept it in our cookie banner — see section 6) and for any optional marketing communications. You can withdraw your consent at any time; for analytics cookies, use the “Cookie settings” link at the bottom of any page.

4. How We Use Your Data

  • To reply to your enquiries and provide the information or services you ask for.
  • To deliver, manage and invoice for engagements.
  • To operate, secure and improve this website.
  • To meet our legal and accounting obligations.

5. Data Storage and Security

  • Encryption in transit: This website is served over HTTPS (TLS), and email is transmitted over encrypted connections where supported.
  • Access controls: Access to personal data is limited to the people who need it to do their work.
  • Data location: Your data is stored on infrastructure located in the United Kingdom or the European Economic Area (EEA). Apart from Google Analytics, which runs only if you accept analytics cookies (see section 6), we do not transfer your personal data outside the UK or EEA without appropriate safeguards.

Where a personal-data breach is likely to result in a risk to your rights and freedoms, we will notify the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) within 72 hours of becoming aware of it.

6. Data Sharing and Sub-processors

We do not sell, trade or rent your personal information. We share data only with trusted service providers who help us run our business — each bound by a data processing agreement and permitted to use your data only on our instructions. We use reputable third-party providers for website hosting and email, located in the UK/EEA. A current list is available on request.

Website analytics (Google Analytics) — only with your consent. If you choose “Accept analytics cookies” in our cookie banner, this website loads Google Analytics 4, a service provided by Google (Google LLC and its group companies). Nothing is loaded from Google before you accept, and nothing at all if you reject or never choose; if no cookie banner appears on your first visit, website analytics is switched off. Google Analytics collects the pages you visit, the page you came from, the time of your visit, your device type, browser and screen size, and an approximate location (city or region) that Google works out from your IP address; Google Analytics 4 does not log or store your IP address itself. It places the _ga cookies described in our Cookie Policy. We use the results, in aggregate, only to understand which pages are useful and to improve the website. We do not allow Google to use this data for advertising: Google's advertising consent signals are always set to “denied”, and Google signals and ad personalisation are switched off. Google keeps Google Analytics data for 2 months and then deletes it automatically. Google may process this data in the United States; Google LLC is certified under the UK Extension to the EU–US Data Privacy Framework, which the UK recognises as providing adequate protection. Our lawful basis is your consent, which you can withdraw at any time with the “Cookie settings” link at the bottom of every page; if you do, Google Analytics stops on that page straight away and its _ga cookies are deleted.

7. Data Retention

We keep enquiry data for as long as needed to deal with your request and for a reasonable period afterwards. Contract, accounting and tax records are retained for approximately 6 years where the law requires. When data is no longer needed, we securely delete it.

8. Your Rights

Under the UK GDPR and Data Protection Act 2018, you have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to the processing of your personal data, and to data portability. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at info@agilerelease.co.uk. We will respond within one month.

9. Right to Lodge a Complaint

You have the right to complain to the UK supervisory authority, the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO), if you believe we have not handled your personal data lawfully:
